These terms cover your use of the DuffMate app for Apple Watch and iPhone ("DuffMate"). By using DuffMate, you agree to them. DuffMate is provided through the Apple App Store, and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Using DuffMate
DuffMate is a golf shot-tracking and GPS aid for your own personal, recreational use. You agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse it — for example, by trying to reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or interfere with the app.
Purchase and payment
DuffMate is a one-time purchase of $5.99 on the App Store — you buy it once, with no subscription and no recurring charges. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's standard policy; request them through your Apple ID account.
Distances, wind, and shot detection are aids, not officials
DuffMate's GPS distances, wind readings, and automatic shot detection are provided to help you enjoy your round. They are estimates and can be affected by GPS conditions, weather data, and how you swing. Do not rely on DuffMate for official scoring, competition rulings, or any situation where accuracy is critical. Always check your local rules; some competitions restrict distance devices. You're responsible for your own score.
Availability
DuffMate depends on your devices, GPS, and third-party services (such as weather and course data) that we don't control. Features may change, and the app may occasionally be unavailable.
No warranty
DuffMate is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or accurate in every situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, DuffMate and its maker are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including lost scores, inaccurate distances, or device issues.
Intellectual property
DuffMate, its name, logo, and content are owned by its maker. These terms don't give you any rights to that intellectual property beyond using the app as intended.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update this page and the effective date. Continuing to use DuffMate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
